In 2019, the Black Squares exhibition took place at Saturation Point in London, curated by Billy Gruner. The show explored reductive and non-objective art, highlighting its relevance in contemporary practice. The exhibition featured works from a diverse group of international artists, including Jasper van der Graaf, Thomas Michael Stephens, Brigitte Parusel, John Adair, Jeffrey Cortland-Jones, Clare French, Deb Covell, Dima Gred, Patrick Morrissey, Hanz Hancock, Karen Foss, Ulla Pederson, Shawn Stipling, Theresa Poulton, Sarah Keighery, Phil Illingworth, Myroslav Vayda, Serhiy Popov, and Richard van der Aa. These artists presented paintings, sculptures, and installations that engaged with the legacy of Kazimir Malevich’s Black Square. The exhibition was the final European show of the Reductive Non-Objective Project (RNOP), which would continue in Australia and France later in the year.
